Modding is a lot of fun!īut again, I would strongly recommend to you that you not go as complex as Wrye Bash yet, IMHO it seems like overkill in your situation. It comes with experience don't get discouraged. The other 55% of what I know is from actually modding the game time and time again. I learned 45% of what I know about modding Oblivion from this series, and still reference it from time to time. The series is slightly outdated, so the things you need to install will be different, updated versions, but the gist is there. It is the opening to a series on installing FCOM, and explains very thoroughly how to properly install Wrye Bash and use its more basic functions. If you really want to use Wrye Bash for some reason, watch this video. Some mods actually require OBMM, though, so it's a good tool to have around. Over time I needed something more technical for more mods, so I have switched over to Wrye Bash. This video is the one I used that taught me how to use OBMM fluently. In this case, and especially since you are only installing a few mods, I recommend using Oblivion mod manager. It sounds like you are very new to modding.
